Gifts delivered in Jersey - we've got you covered

2020. What a year. And we’re still not done with it yet.

The thing about owning a small business is that you have to adapt sometimes. And, actually, when you are in charge, you don’t have to talk to anyone else about adapting, you just get on and do it.

Due to covid restrictions, the usual Christmas markets and events are off the cards… which led to The Small Business Pop up at Liberty Wharf. From the 29th October 2020 there will be at least 40 small businesses spread across three unused shop units to help make your Christmas shopping as simple and easy as possible. All within the current covid guidelines.

Which will be GREAT. So long as those guidelines don’t change in the next fortnight. And they might.

So what are we going to do about it?

Well, aside from keeping everything crossed that things aren’t about to change guidelines wise, we’re always planning for what might be around the corner. And what might be around the corner are limits on your ability to go out and shop for gifts.

Annoying.

BUT PLEASE DON’T JUST GO ONTO AMAZON! That is not to say that it doesn’t have a place - obviously it does, but if 2020 has taught you anything, it’s the importance of supporting your local businesses.

How are we at Harriet & Rose preparing?

We’ve got safe and socially distanced delivery down. No really. We still have an overly large box of single use gloves, we’ve got the anti-bac, we’ve got the packaging. Harriet and Rose has two intentions really - first of all thoughtful gifts that you can send in Jersey, and second of all, making your life easier.

All of our thoughtful gifts are here, in the island and ready to send. You can choose from same day, next day, or standard delivery, or you can (at the moment) collect your order from our office in town (by appointment). We’re really proud of what we have on our website - it’s all been chosen to be given - even if it’s just to yourself.

We’re also going to be introducing an even easier way for you to shop for Christmas - and are just waiting on our delivery of (sorry) Christmas wrapping paper.

Another big development for Harriet and Rose this year, is our care packages. You don’t have to send flowers to someone in Jersey to send your love (though we do like flowers too), but why not send them the gift of relaxation? Or a candle subscription? It’s simple and thoughtful, and delivery in Jersey of all your gifting needs is down to us.

What I suppose we’re saying is that we don’t know what the rest of 2020 brings for Jersey (let alone the world), but whether you’re able to pop in to the pop up at Liberty Wharf, or live far away and need us to do the delivery of a thoughtful gift to a loved on in Jersey; whether we go in to another phase of covid restrictions and you only have online shopping to get Christmas sorted and are still keen to shop local and support small Jersey businesses, then Harriet and Rose is here for you.
