The Harriet & Rose shop... we need you!

And not just in a customer capacity!

Whilst I live and breathe all thing Harriet & Rose at the moment (and sleep, and dream, and essentially consume all living hours with shop stuff), I know that it’ll be nothing without you. It’s still evolving as I decorate, take furniture deliveries, and generally move stuff around faff (along with the manual labour and painting).

One thing I know though, is however much I think about the shop, however much I plan and focus on the details (from bells to vintage handles; paint colours to lighting; stock to display units) I won’t have thought of everything. I’d love to think that I have, but I won’t. And that is where I hope you will consider getting involved!

I’m still being a little bit vague regarding the final opening date - this hinges on a few things that are still up in the air (including the chance that I might actually be able to get somewhere for a week’s holiday that was planned over a year ago), but I very much hope in 4 weeks or so, I’ll be able to open for previews. These will be invite only events that give you the chance to give me some feedback. I’ll need people with buggies! I’ll need people with small children (so I can check I’ve thought through the merchandising and placement of breakable stuff). The shop will not be finished completely - these previews will help enforce the final tweaks and layout, so still come along for the official opening as you’ll see your feedback in action.

To get involved you’ll need to sign up to our newsletter. This isn’t a trick to get your email, I’ve used my newsletter fuction approximately three times since the website launched (I’m all about the Instagram!). I’ll then send out preview dates and ask you to apply. If they are oversubscribed I’ll go for the name out of hat approach.

You can sign up for our newsletter on the homepage (scroll down to the bottom), and I will be in touch. You’ll get a drink and some cake or biscuits, a chance to have a good old nose at some of our excellent new lines, and the real opportunity to make Harriet & Rose the physical shop that you WANT on King Street.

I look forward to seeing you all in the shop soon!

Hx
