How we've changed in five years (and how we've not!)

What a five years it has been. Since launching our website in June 2019, so much has changed with the business (not least our coming up to three-year presence on St Helier High Street - still a pinch us moment), and yet, reflecting on how far we’ve come, we can also see all those things that have stayed the same.

Our website being one of them. The only problem with opening our shop, has been that the website has been sort of left to itself a bit. Its set up was very much a full time job, and Covid had us working all the hours (gratefully), but no more! Verity, our wonderful manager, has been uploading lots of our wonderful stock so that you can shop from the comfort of your sofa (whether that’s from far afield looking for gifts to send to a loved one, or from the deepest depths of St Ouen or Grouville), we’re still here to make thoughtful gifting in Jersey as simple as possible - whether it’s online or in person.

We’ve got the same firm business ethos as before. No sales or discounts, just all year round value for money. Thoughtful and ethically sourced gifts from creative and independent businesses, many of which are female founded and run.

We’ve learned a lot. We’ve gone from a team of one to a team of up to ten (depending on the time of year of course!) and our customer reach has grown hugely. But what we are, and what we do stays the same. Friendly, unpushy service. Help if you need it. A welcome and nuturing space for staff and customers alike. And, a palpable relief, that you love a rude card as much as we do!

Thank you for your custom, and support over the last five years, and remember, the basis on which we founded - an online business serving Jersey - remains firm to this day. We just got a shop too to run alongside it!
