We're going on a treasure hunt...

Congratulations if you’ve made it past the headline of this post without saying ‘we’re going to catch a big one’… you have not yet read We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. We envy you. But we start this post with a digression… back to the point… treasure…!

We have decided - in our wisdom - to have a competition in August... well it's less of a competition and more of a treasure hunt actually since we are going to hide (in plain sight if you follow the clues) three bundles of Harriet and Rose gifts towards the end of this month... each will be worth at least £20.00. We're not quite sure what they'll contain yet, but we're definitely open to suggestions if you'd like to comment on the post as to what you'd like!

There will of course be - as any self-respecting treasure hunt must have - clues to the location of these three prizes/treasure... and we'll be leaving these clues across our newsletter, our Instagram page and stories, and our Facebook page. Since we started yesterday, there's already been a clue to location #1 on our stories, and our newsletter which went out this morning had all THREE location clues... but we don't want you to get FOMO, so follow us on Insta, Facebook and sign up to the newsletter and we'll see if we don't repeat the clues at some point in the next couple of weeks.

Put simply, the more clues you find, the easier it will be to track down each location. It's not rocket science, but for a small Island, there are lots of places that we could put our bundles, so it's not *that* likely, you'll randomly come across them (though that is, of course a risk... someone who's never heard of us could just happen to be in the right place at the right time... it would be irritating, but it's going to be a case of whoever gets there first, gets the prize (treasure?!)).

But why are we doing this? Put simply, we're new! And we want to think of innovative ways for Harriet and Rose to get out there into the world and to have some fun marketing what we do. Sure, the chances are you'll see us advertising locally, or popping up on a sponsored Facebook post, but isn't it nice to think that we're putting our gifts out there in the world, spreading the thoughtful gifting love to you - our potential customers?

Also, we're keen to grown our Instagram and Facebook followings to help us market in the future. In most other places you can't target that specifically, but being on a small island nine miles by five, it's easier to do it! Imagine running a competition like this in the UK? Could not be done… But here... well it's easy to get imaginative, and actually deliver some slightly quirky marketing incentives.

So have a look on the website! Tell us what would be first in your online basket! Tell us what we're missing (or what we're doing brilliantly). Whilst Harriet and Rose was conceived in 2018, our website has only been live for eight weeks so we are listening to you all for inspiration and ideas. Whilst it's going really well, there is always room to improve, and we want you to know we're here for YOU. Literally any one of you reading this, living in or visiting Jersey, Harriet and Rose is here to make your life EASIER. And to introduce a little bit of treasure hunt fun for grown-ups...
